This foreign owned company will produce 2.5 million pieces of handbags, 1.5 million pieces of backpacks and 1 million pieces of wallets annually. As many as 2,990 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunities in this company, BEPZA said on its website.
DC Industry (Bangladesh) Co Ltd will invest $5.36 million to establish a 'Bag & Wallet' manufacturing unit in the BEPZA Economic Zone. The facility will produce 2.5 million handbags, 1.5 million backpacks, and 1 million wallets annually, creating 2,990 jobs. This investment is part of a broader $711 million in commitments from 31 companies in the BEPZA EZ.A total of 31 companies, including DC Industry (Bangladesh), have signed agreements to invest in the BEPZA EZ with a total proposed investment of $711 million.
