Open-end zipper: An open-end zipper allows the two sides of the zipper to separate completely when unzipped.

Closed-end zipper: A closed-end zipper doesn’t allow the two sides to separate completely when unzipped.

Zipper chain: A zipper chain is a continuous length of zipper without top or bottom stop, and it doesn’t have a box or pin. You can cut it to any length you need.
